Elizabeth Huston
Executive DirectorElizabeth Huston is dedicated to fostering accessibility and appreciation for contemporary music. With a passion for creating entry points into modern compositions, Elizabeth draws inspiration from diverse artistic expressions, ranging from theater and dance to performance art and visual art. Through her observation of audience responses across these mediums, she crafts immersive experiences that resonate deeply, inviting individuals to connect with the intended meanings while weaving contemporary music into the fabric of their own life narratives.
A harpist by training, Elizabeth began her journey into championing new music with her desire to expand the repertoire for her instrument. She embarked on a mission to both enrich the harp world but also to support emerging composers. Recognizing the challenges faced by composers in navigating the transition from academia to professional careers, Elizabeth is committed to providing them with the resources and platforms they need to thrive.

Jason V. Barabba
Artistic DirectorInspired by the world around him, composer Jason Barabba enjoys interacting with artists across genres, broadening his perspectives on our increasingly complex and frustrating world. A dual citizen of Italy and the United States, his music is known for its intimately collaborative origins, thoughtful text settings, and in recent years, a sustained focus on social and political engagement. Driven by a desire to find shared visions with colleagues and collaborators, Barabba’s creative process involves close consultation with performers to shape each project’s trajectory, yielding works that are both imaginatively structured and deeply personalized.Beyond his work as a composer, Barabba is the Emeritus Founding Director of Synchromy, a composer-focused presenter of new music based in Los Angeles, and now serves as Artistic Director of Synchromie Muziek founded in the Netherlands in 2025.
